'The windfall from BBC Children in Need will enable Round Oak Robins to continue its work supporting bereaved youngsters and their families across the borough, as it will meet at least half of the group’s financial needs for the next three years.
Chairman Adrian Barrett said: ''We are delighted with the award which will allow our volunteers to support even more children and families in need. But it doesn't stop here, we will continue to fundraise for every penny needed for us to support young people and their families through some of the worst circumstances life can throw at them."
A host of fundraisers to help the charity through the next few years are now being planned.
A golf tournament is on the cards and a quiz night is set to take place at Dudley Sports FC, High Ercal Avenue, Brierley Hill, on Thursday September 23.
Entry is £3 per person and includes a light supper.
