14/10/10 : Dudley Volunteer Award

October 2010 saw our organization receive an award from the mayor of Dudley for volunteering excellence.awardThis prestigious award is made annually to groups and individuals in the Dudley Borough in recognition of their service to the community. Our chairman, Martyn Barrett, collected the award on behalf of all our volunteers whose hard work and professionalism merited this recognition.

21/08/10 : Summer Fun 2010 (CLICK HERE)

 

Baggeridge Country Park was chosen for our brilliant summer fun day. Funding from Dudley Children's Trust meant that we could do so much more for our day out.  The Aerial Ropes Activity was really impressive. Many families supported each other, talking nervous participants through difficult bits and down the zip wire. It was truly inspirational to watch as families gained confidence. There were many congratulatory high fives and hugs at the end.

09/08/10 : BBC Children in Need

We are delighted to report that Round Oak Robins has been awarded a grant from BBC Children In Need for three years.  This is wonderful news and guarantees the continuation of the service provided for young people and their families.pudsey

01/07/10 : Grant news again

We are pleased to receive a grant from Dudley Childrens Trust.  This will enable us to fund an outdoor activity day this summer, which should prove to be an exciting experience for the young people.dudley ct

We celebrated ROBINS birthday at Baggeridge Country Park. bandstand

 

 

The weather was kind to us as we explored the pond for wriggly creatures.  A firm favourite activity with families and volunteers alike.pondfrogs

19/07/09 : Truck pull

A tremendous effort was made by Carl to pull a truck at the Mighty Midlander competition Brierley Hill.

He did not let a tropical downpour deter him from raising a truck load of sponsor money in aid of Round Oak Robinscarl truck pull

23/08/08 : Summer Fun Day

maize An amazing maize maze at Kinver was a super idea for our summer fun day this year.

  Volunteers teamed up with families and flags waving set off through endless corridors of sweetcorn. The race was on as each team tried to find answers in the maze to fill their puzzle ...

12/07/08 : Netherton Fun Day

We were invited to go along to this fun day which was a superb event.  The tombola was busy spinning, and again volunteers face painting skills were evident by the numerous smiling faces.  The pouring rain only caused more children to flood under the marquee.  Spider man ruled the day.

14/06/08 : Wordsley festival

This big annual event at Wordsley provided an opportunity to make ourselves known more in the community.  Volunteers had fun with 'Test your skill' wire buzzer and a 'Find the key to open the door' games and of course a tombola.
Volunteers also found hidden talents in face painting, which proved to be very popular.

02/12/07 : Winter Bash

A 'Winter Bash' was held for all families.  Mainly just for fun, but also to prepare for the festive season.

First Annual General Meeting also held this month.

12/08/07 : Fun Day Out

A fun day out for families was held by visiting "Conkers"conkers

21/04/07 : First Workshop

The first workshop was successful, the choice of venues proving to work well for our needs.  Lots of positive comments back from the families.
